JIM PRINDLE is a native Texan; born in Fort Worth and graduated high school in Arlington. He received a Bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles where he founded a Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity. Following graduation, Jim served in the US Army as a Counter-Intelligence Agent, during the time of the first Persian Gulf War. In 1991, he suffered a line of duty injury that forced him to take an Honorable Discharge. Afterwards, he taught MI operations for a Defense contractor until 1997, when he went to work for Nokia. With Nokia, Jim has lived abroad in Budapest, Hungary, and Milan, Italy, and traveled extensively, visiting five continents. He returned to the US in 2001, and currently resides in Dallas. Jim began his acting career in 2003. He was cast in his first role as an ER doctor in Patrick Johnson’s “SideFX.” This film won “Best Texas Feature” at the 2004 Deep Ellum Film Festival and was an Official Selection for the Chicago Horror Film Festival. It was released on DVD in March 2005, and is available at Blockbuster, Best Buy, and Hollywood Video. Next, he played a background part on the ABC TV pilot “LAX.” Jim was in a scene with Frank John Hughes, who played Henry Engels. Jim has long admired Mr. Hughes’ talent, especially his portrayal as SSG William “Wild Bill” Guarnere in “Band of Brothers.” “I admire our Great Generation of men and women that stood and fought during World War II,” said Jim. “Mr. Hughes honored their memory and legacy with his exquisite and accurate performance of SSG Guarnere. He really made me feel what life must have been like for the infantry soldier during the war.” Jim highly recommends “Band of Brothers” mini-series! During the summer of 2004, Jim co-starred in the dramatic feature film “Pleadings” (by Anamnesia Productions). He played the effervescent Jason Nordstrom, attorney and law professor. Nordstrom is the “wild and crazy” best friend to the lead character and is very prone to partying. Jim loved this role, especially since he was given the opportunity in one scene to portray his favorite “American Idol,” Elvis. Jim actually sang an Elvis tune, accompanied on the accordion (played by his friend, Alan Walling)! Jim said, “This was a very good screenplay and great project; I am proud to have had the chance to do this film.” “Pleadings” should be released sometime during 2006 (details to come). Amazingly, after “Pleadings,” Jim was once again cast to portray Elvis by Gary Chason in his feature film, “Everything or Nothing.” This time, Jim didn’t sing though. ;-) Jim’s scenes were opposite lead actress, Natasha Melnick (from “Freaks and Geeks”). His role was small, but it marked his first High Definition film. Currently, Mr. Prindle is filming Alex Cox’s “Waldo’s Hawaiian Holiday” (Antstuie Productions). “Waldo” is a sequel to the 1984 cult-classic, “Repo Man” (starring Emilio Estevez). This project is in-production and scheduled to be released during the Summer of 2006. Jim lists two of his all-time favorite heroes as Elvis and Audie Murphy. He also has the distinct pleasure of actually seeing Elvis in concert three times. |
